The Heritage School was delighted to host the Zimbabwe Society of Music Teacher’s Mini Eisteddfod on Saturday 9th March 2019. This catered for beginner Instrumentalists who had not yet reached Grade 1 in Music, and young vocalists of 8 years and under.
The programme was compiled in age groups from five to nine years old and above. There were four classes i.e. Class 1 – six years and under : Class 2 – 7 years old : Class 3 – 8 years old – and Class 4 – for 9 year olds and above.
There were over 80 Candidates who delighted us with, piano solo, violin solo, recorders, singing groups, guitar solo, Mbira and Violin Groups. After each class a message of encouragement was given and each child received a Certificate of Participation.
We had a tea interval after Class 3 which was followed by Class 4, and the morning ended around 12 noon.
It was a really lovely morning with so many mums, dads, grandparents aunts and uncles showing their support.
The children themselves were beautifully dressed and they all played and sang so well.
