Welcome to the Barracudas swimming club, why not enjoy our wonderful facilities. 

Located at the Heritage School, Borrowdale Brooke we currently have two swimming pools one 25 metre 8 lane swimming pool and a shallow heated pool especially designed for infants learning to swim, these pools is accessed via the school pavilion. It’s open for general public swimming throughout the school holidays and limited times during term time.
As well as our general swimming hours throughout the week, we offer classes, courses and swimfit clinics for anyone to take part in. Swimming on your own can be very relaxing – perfect if you’re looking for some ‘me-time’. All you need is your swimwear, a towel, flip-flops, and swimming hats and goggles are optional.

Pool Availability

It is now possible to view the availability of the main pool online by looking at the calendar below, you can also book directly from this page just by clicking on the day you wish to swim. Please note that all Bookings are on a first come first served basis.

Public Hire

The Barracudas swimming club offers its pools for public hire. The pools are available at 24 Hours notice at a cost of £5.00 per hour per lane. The pools are available at the following times:
Term Time:
Monday to Friday 16:00 to 18:00
Saturday 14:00 to 18:00
Sundays 09:00 to 18:00
School Holidays:
Monday to Sunday 09:00 to 18:00
Times are subject to change and other times may be available on request.
