Welcome Back
Acacia House extends a warm welcome back to all boarders. We are also delighted to welcome all new members to the Acacia Family and wish them a pleasant and fruitful term as well as a fulfilling Acacia House experience.
Holiday Hosting
The infancy stage of Acacia House is coming to an end and so much has happened in the past few months. At half term we hosted The Mozambique U19 basketball team, Zimbabwe U14 rugby team as they prepared for the Craven week, and The Zimbabwe U13 Provincial rugby Tournament. Midlands Christian College and Kyle College which participated in the Gold and Silver Girls Hockey Tournament at Arundel, were happy to be accommodated at Acacia House. We look forward to hosting them again should the need arise.
Hot Lunches
This term, the boarders, the day scholars who have subscribed for hot lunches and Hericreche are enjoying tantalizing meals which vary from Contemporary French cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Organic and African cuisine. Tea times are equally exciting , with fancy pastries and sandwiches prepared by our very own Acacia Catering team led by Executive Chief Lincoln Muyambo assisted by Chief Kudakwashe Gore and Chief Ashely Chirara.
Examination Time
Public examination candidates can remain on campus during the half term break if they so wish. Non public examination candidates on the other hand, can go home if they so wish during the following weekends:
- 23 to 25 September 2016 Fixture free
- 14 to 17 October 2016 Half term break
- 04 to 06 November 2016 Fixture free
NB Parents may place their children in boarding if they have other commitments which affect their school run, even if it’s for a few days (a minimum of five days) as we have daily rates which are as low as $30.00 per day inclusive of all meals and accommodation.
We look forward to a fruitful term in all aspects of the school life.
