Time spent running errands can be time spent learning. Try these activities with your child:-

Estimation

Encourage your child to make estimates everywhere you go. You can cover the following concepts:- distance, time, money, numbers. Remember to always give the correct answer at the end of the exercise. Over time, your child will get better at estimating, a skill they need during Mathematics lessons.

Navigational Skills

Encourage your child to give direction, locate and figure out how to reach their destination. This will help them read and interpret maps.
